The process of entering the palace is... smooth. Painless.


You are falling, but it's not scary at the speed you're going. You drop through the pre-dawn sky like a feather, light and easy on a breeze, descending towards a bright and multicolored island in a sea of dark trees.

When you land, you are somewhere new.

The amount of stimulation coming from this area is INTENSE. The smells of junk food waft from every direction, changing whenever there's a breeze. The sound of screaming - excited screaming, not murderous screaming (probably) - is everywhere, mixed with the loud stock noises each attraction has - the ringing of bells and the playing of jingles and the shouting of the attendants trying to draw your attention to their specific grift where you can fail to win a prize.

Or succeed at winning a prize! It's not the real world, right?

More important are the rides, covered in flashing lights and garish bright colors, each bigger and more impossible than the last.

Hawks isn't within immediate sight, but considering exactly how much is going on here, it's hard to know if you'd be able to clock him.

He clings and flaps his little wings on the descent! This doesn't slow the fall at all, but there's no fall damage in this palace.

stands up, dusts himself off, makes sure the kid is okay and then approaches a strength testing game with his make-shift fishing pole in one hand so the elephant is still following ]

The highest ride is one of those super tall up up up and drop rides! It is like.

Fifty storeys high. There doesn't seem to be a lineup.

IT GOES UP AND UP AND UP AND UP AND UP AND UP AND UP...

At the top you can see for miles, and it hangs there for a moment before it does anything else. Maybe slightly too long of a moment?

She's looking for, uh. A relatively tame ride to go on for her very first amusement park right. ]

There's a few rides! There's the super crazy thrill rides, but there's also gentler ones like merry-go-rounds, ferris wheels, a couple of those water rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, etc.

The merry-go-round spins around at just the right speed! It's a fun little time. During the ride, a little red feather floats down onto one of the other seats.

... But she does notice that eventually, and carefully scoots off of her spot to go get a closer look. ]

[she's keeping an eye out for a guy with wings even if he's not immediately around; hopefully he'd be hard to miss if he was nearby :(

she looks for...a baby ride. a tame ride. something that's not too zoomy.]

There are a few tame rides! Ferris wheel, water rides, merry-go-round, teacups, just to name a few.

[TEACUPS! her eyes light up when she sees them, just for the pure novelty of it; she's going to give them a spin as long as the line isn't too long]

In this magical park the lines for rides don't exceed five minutes.

They are VERY cute and spin at a very tolerable speed, though she can speed it up if she wants. There's something red stuck to one of the seats.

[truly the most magical of parks. she lets them go at a leisurely pace--it's fun to be able to relax and watch everyone else go flying past her, and it allows her to keep an eye out for anyone or anything she might recognize. as such, it's pretty easy for her to spot the red thing stuck to the seat and try to un-stick it]

He frowns intensely, scanning the area for rides with no height limit. Bumper cars?? Merry-go-round?? Teacups??

All of those are around. This is the best park ever.
