HAWKS PALACE
The process of entering the palace is... smooth. Painless.
You are falling, but it's not scary at the speed you're going. You drop through the pre-dawn sky like a feather, light and easy on a breeze, descending towards a bright and multicolored island in a sea of dark trees.
When you land, you are somewhere new.

She spends about half an hour going from the roller coaster line to the tall tower drop line and back again.
Very productive progress from Miss Alpha. ]

There's another memory -
You're older now, a professional, on the job at what you (jokingly)(not that jokingly) refer to as the ripe old age of twenty, and the speed at which you move through the city is impossible to follow with the naked eye.
Including yours, mostly, so half your work is done blind, navigating by feel and sound and air currents. Stopping to look at stuff would slow you down.
Right now you're chasing a villain, and your sidekicks are following up the rear. He's faster than them, and you're faster than him, so it's not a challenge at all to- you hear a crying child and redirect your path immediately, coming to a stop in front of a boy who's lost. You have time to help him out, so you do; you reunite him with his parents, who buy you a cold drink in gratitude, and - oh, right, the villain. You're off again and you've captured the fleeing man before your sidekicks even catch up.
You toss one a can of juice as they run in after you.

She screams with every drop.
aaaaaaaaaa.
And when she's free she staggers out with the feather, wheezing and frazzled.
Okay.......... to the tower drop. ]

The one in the tower drop also contains a memory!
You're young, maybe thirteen years old, and you're exhausted. You've been at this for hours and hours, but you know you can run this course faster, more efficiently. You spread your wings and launch into some kind of obstacle course, dodging projectiles and traps and making hairpin turns and sharp stops and -
A man in a suit at the other end reads out a time when you're done. His partner, also in a suit, writes it down and tells you that it's a slight improvement. 0.78 seconds faster.
You know you can run this course faster, more efficiently, you know, you know...
And then the actual ride portion starts which is maybe even worse than weird memories.

She staggers out of that, puts the feather in her hair again, and thennnn... the last one!
That's easy, that's just the balloon dart game. She can pluck that one easily. ]

The feather hidden among the darts gives another memory - It's short and sweet; you're very young, in the same place, practising the speed and accuracy with which you can launch your feathers. You practice over, and over, and over, and over...
She can also play for prizes. If she wants.

And will carefully attach it to her shirt collar so he can see everything as she goes.
