The process of entering the palace is... smooth. Painless.


You are falling, but it's not scary at the speed you're going. You drop through the pre-dawn sky like a feather, light and easy on a breeze, descending towards a bright and multicolored island in a sea of dark trees.

When you land, you are somewhere new.

The Ferris wheel IS safe and relaxing.

The memory attached to it is a little disorienting though --

You are blind. This is not unusual nor alarming; this is part of your training. Humans rely on sight more than any other sense, and whenever they're given the opportunity they'll favor it.

So this month you're just blindfolded to learn how to navigate through sounds that you hear through your feathers. There's a lot of shin banging and step missing and general irritation, but it's not that difficult.


The view from the top of the Ferris wheel is the whole park - where areas were blocked out on the map, they seem hazy or foggy from the air.

[while this doesn't seem overly abnormal for children, with the context of everything else going on it feels a little bit Much.

she takes the time to scope out the hazy areas from above, and once she'd once again on the ground she DOES approach the staff area. she's not staff, but...he might not mind? can she just walk into the Staff Only area or is there a door stopping her]

There's a chain with a dangling sign, but she can just like. Step over it. The door beyond that isn't locked.
